Children's Ministry
Club 56
Fifth and sixth grade students are different. They are not quite children, not quite teenagers. Therefore, they deserve a ministry of their own, a ministry that's more than just Sunday School.
Starting in September 2009, Club 56 will be meeting twice a month to learn more about God through exciting, hands-on activities and to make a difference in the world through serving others. Meetings will take place on the second Sunday of the month from 4:00 to 5:30 pm and the fourth Saturday. Also, Club 56 will sponsor quarterly activities purely for fun (think swim party, laser tag, etc.). Students do not have to be a member of the church to participate.
This past quarter the children have played Laser Tag, served at My Neighbor's Place, celebrated Grandparents and learned about fear. There are more adventures in the future. New events will be posted here as they are know.
Current Schedule:
April 24, 2:30-5:00 pm: A trip to the zoo with a special tour by Glen Schulte, church member and teacher at the zoo academy.
May 22, 9:00 am-5:30 pm: A trip to Ohio Caverans and Young's Dairy. Bring your own lunch and $16!
May 30: All students who have finished sixth grade become part of the youth program!
